On December 21, 2021, a sixteen-year-old girl from the village of Strumkivka, Lutsk district, Volyn region, Cleopatra Kolyubaieva, was hospitalized at the children's department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The girl from a large family has a congenital heart defect - a secondary defect of the atrial septum in the central part, dilatation of the right heart and dilatation of the trunk and branches of the pulmonary artery.
To eliminate this congenital heart defect, Cleopatra needs endovascular closure of the atrial septal defect with a Figulla Flex II ASD occluder with a delivery system and a measuring balloon, which cost UAH 114,000.
The girl's mother, Elena Kolyubayeva, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive consumables. The Foundation launched the project «Let's help Cleopatra's heart to become healthy!». With a request to provide a charitable donation for the purchase of a Figulla Flex II ASD occluder with a delivery system and a measuring balloon for Cleopatra, the Foundation turned to its regular and reliable partners - the of Vodafone Ukraine and received support.
The necessary heart implant was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute.
And on December 22, at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Cleopatra Kolyubayeva underwent X-ray endovascular closure of the secondary atrial septal defect. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on December 24, the girl was discharged home in a satisfactory condition and good mood.
