On February 25, 2020, a two-year-old boy from Kyiv was hospitalized in the children's department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Gurzhiy Nikita, He has a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct. The boy needs endovascular closure of the defect with the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral kit.
Nikita's father, Anatoliy Gurzhiy, asked the Foundation to help him purchase expensive consumables. We started the project «Let's help little Nikita's heart!». The Foundation has posted information about the boy and all the necessary supporting documents on its website and Facebook page.
Thanks to caring people and our good friend and partner ICF «International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin», The necessary heart implant was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute. We are sincerely grateful to everyone!
On February 26, 2020, at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, little Nikita Gurzhiy underwent X-ray endovascular closure of the patent ductus arteriosus. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on February 28, the boy was discharged home in satisfactory condition.
