Stetsiuk Yaroslav

On September 04, 2019, a nine-year-old boy from Fastiv, Kyiv region, was hospitalized in the children's department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Stetsiuk Yaroslav. Yaroslav has a congenital heart defect - severe coarctation of the aorta, bicuspid aortic valve and arterial hypertension.

The boy urgently needs stenting of the coarctation of the aorta with a coated stent graft for aortic plastic surgery together with a BIB balloon catheter for stent placement to correct the boy's congenital heart disease using the endovascular method.

Yaroslav's mother, Lesya Stetsiuk, asked the Foundation to help her son purchase expensive medical supplies. To save the boy's heart, we did the following project «Let's help Yaroslav's heart!» and posted it on the Foundation's website, https://heart-in-hand.in.ua/programs/dopomozhemo-serdechku-yaroslava-0/  and Facebook page, as well as all necessary supporting documents.

Yaroslav's heart was immediately helped by ICF «International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin», who purchased the necessary stent graft for aortic plastic surgery together with a BIB balloon catheter for stent placement and transferred it to the Heart Institute. We sincerely thank them from the bottom of our hearts!

On September 06, 2019, Yaroslav Stetsiuk underwent X-ray endovascular correction of congenital heart disease - stenting of aortic coronary artery dissection at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on September 09, the boy was discharged home in satisfactory condition.

We, along with Yaroslav, his parents and older sisters, are grateful to the International Charitable Foundation in Honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, which provided the Heart Institute with the necessary stent to repair the boy's congenital heart defect and saved his life.

Yaroslav, we wish you happiness, health and to realize your dream to start practicing karate as soon as possible. We wish you all the best!
