On October 29, 2021, a girl from the village of Strumkivka, Lutsk district, Volyn region, Cleopatra Kolyubayeva, born on November 2, 2005, was consulted at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The specialists of the Institute diagnosed Sofia with congenital heart disease - a secondary defect of the atrial septum in the central part, dilatation of the right heart and dilatation of the trunk and branches of the pulmonary artery.
To eliminate this congenital heart defect, the girl needs urgent endovascular closure of the secondary atrial septal defect with the Figulla Flex II ASD occluder with delivery system and measuring balloon, which cost UAH 114,000.
Cleopatra's large family consists of her mother, Olena Koliubaeva, her father, Maksym Koliubaev, her eleven-year-old sister, Maryna, and her younger brother, five-year-old Matvii. The family lives in the village of Strumkivka, Lutsk district, Volyn region, in a small private house. The mother, who is visually impaired, works as a senior dispatcher in the Joint Ukrainian-Polish Enterprise in the form of Modern-Expo LLC, and the father works as a manager in Pragmatek PE, with a total joint family income of about 10 thousand hryvnias. The income of a large family does not allow them to purchase an expensive cardiac implant - a Figulla Flex II ASD occluder with a delivery system and a measuring balloon - for the treatment of their eldest daughter's congenital heart disease.
Cleopatra is a very active and intelligent girl, she studies well, plans to go to university in the summer, is a member of the Youth Council at the village council of Strumkivka village, Lutsk district, Volyn region, is engaged in solving environmental problems and promoting sports among young people, studies piano at a music school, takes vocal lessons for her own money earned in the summer, and before her illness and deterioration in health, she was a member of the school cheerleading team and received many awards and honors. Her parents are very concerned about their daughter's health and want her to feel good.
Cleopatra's mother turned to the Foundation with a request to help save her from congenital heart disease.
