The project has been completed. The heart implant was purchased thanks to charitable donations from Vodafone Ukraine and caring people.
On June 10, 2019, a boy from Fastiv, Kyiv region, was consulted at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Stetsiuk Yaroslav, who was born on August 04, 2010. The boy was diagnosed with congenital heart disease - coarctation of the aorta, dilatation of the ascending aorta and arterial hypertension. Yaroslav needs to buy a covered stent graft for aortic plastic surgery together with a BIB balloon catheter for stent placement to correct the boy's congenital heart disease using the endovascular method. The cost of this consumable is 101 500 UAH.
Correction of Yaroslav's birth defect requires immediate solution, the boy already has hypertension, and the consequences of this diagnosis are quite severe.
The boy's family consists of his mother, Lesia Stetsiuk, his father, Volodymyr Stetsiuk, and two adult older sisters who live separately. The family lives in Fastiv, Kyiv region, in a private house. Yaroslav's mother works as a family pediatrician at the Fastiv Primary Health Care Center, and his father works as a storekeeper at UkrKhimPostach, and in 2014 he fought in the ATO zone.
The parents' main wish is for their youngest son to be healthy. The parents' salaries are spent on living expenses and utilities, so it will take years to raise funds for an expensive heart implant for their son on their own. But Yaroslav's heart cannot wait. Yaroslav is a student at secondary school No. 7 in Fastiv. He is a bright and active boy, he is engaged in karate and loves computer games. He has a dream to develop a computer game with his own hands.
The boy's mother asked the Foundation to help raise funds to purchase a coated stent graft for aortic plastic surgery together with a BIB balloon catheter for stent placement to treat her son's congenital heart disease.
