The project has been completed. The heart implant was purchased thanks to the International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and caring people.
On May 13, 2019, a girl from Lutsk, Volyn region, Polischuk Victoria, born on July 09, 2008, was consulted at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The Institute's specialists diagnosed the girl with a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct. To eliminate this congenital heart defect, Victoria needs endovascular closure of the patent ductus arteriosus with a cardiac implant - the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral system, the cost of which is 64 200 UAH.
The girl's family consists of her mother, Svitlana Volodymyrivna Polishchuk, and her father, Andrii Viacheslavovych Polishchuk. The family lives in a private house in the city of Lutsk, Volyn region. The mother works as a food seller for a private entrepreneur, and the father is temporarily unemployed. The family's income is too low, so they are unable to buy an expensive heart implant - the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral system - to treat their only daughter's congenital heart disease.
The girl's mother asked the Foundation to help raise funds to save her daughter Victoria's heart.
