Vladyslav Kovalskyi

On March 18, 2019, a three-year-old boy from Lutsk, Volyn region, was hospitalized at the Children's Department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Kovalsky Vladislav, He has a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct. The boy needs endovascular closure of the defect with the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral kit.  

 

Vladyslav's mother, Tatyana Kovalska, asked the Foundation to help with the purchase of expensive consumables. We started the project «Little Vladislav is looking forward to your help!». The Foundation posted information about the boy and all the necessary supporting documents on its website and Facebook page. Our project was supported by the following partners advertising agency Firma. ART« and »Metro Media Print» LLC», by posting information about raising funds for a heart implant for Vladyslav Kovalsky in the Kyiv subway cars.

 

Thanks to caring people and our good friend and partner ICF «International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos», the necessary heart implant was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute. We sincerely thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts!

 

On March 19, 2019, at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, little Vladyslav Kovalsky underwent X-ray endovascular closure of the patent ductus arteriosus. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on March 21, the boy was discharged home in a satisfactory condition.

We, along with Vladyslav, his parents, all his relatives and friends, are sincerely grateful to the International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos and to the concerned citizens who helped save the little boy's life and became real magicians for him!
