The project has been completed. Occluder was acquired by the International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin.
On January 18, 2017, a four-year-old girl Kot Vladyslava from Kyiv was consulted at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
The girl was diagnosed with congenital heart disease - a secondary defect of the atrial septum.
Vladislav urgently needs to undergo endovascular closure of the defect with the Figulla Flex II ASD occluder and the Nit-Occlud PDA kit, which costs UAH 90,000.
Vladyslava's family consists of her mother, Iryna Kot, and father, Yurii Kot. The father works temporary jobs to provide for the family, and the mother takes care of the girl because she is often ill. The family's financial resources are not enough to raise funds for Vladislava's heart implant on their own. The little girl's parents are eager for their daughter's heart to get healthy as soon as possible.
Vladislava's mother, Irina Yurievna, asked our Foundation for help in raising funds to purchase expensive consumables for her daughter. Here is her letter:
«Good afternoon!
We ask for help from all those who care in our difficult situation.
Our daughter is just over 3 years old. She is growing up to be a cheerful, restless, cheerful child, loves to dance and is just beginning to explore this world. When I look into her eyes, I realize that I would do anything to keep her healthy.
Recently, the child began to get sick often, which was the reason for a full examination.
After an ultrasound examination, we heard a terrible diagnosis: a congenital heart defect - a defect in the atrial septum. Due to the fact that it was discovered late, changes had already occurred in the heart - an increase in the right side of the heart.
Doctors warned us that if we did not have the surgery, our heart problems would become more serious in the future.
Fortunately, this defect can be corrected by closing it with an occluder. But we are not able to pay for its cost.
Our family consists of my father Yuriy, mother Iryna and daughter Vladyslava.
Only my father works. I can't go to work because my child is often sick.
I barely have enough money to live on, and I can't save anything.
We will be very grateful for any help in the treatment of our daughter.
