Let's help Mykhailo's heart!

On November 02, 2017, a six-year-old boy from the village of Trebukhiv, Brovary district, Kyiv region, Mykhailo Ushanov, born on April 22, 2011, was consulted at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Mykhailo was diagnosed with congenital heart disease - a secondary defect of the atrial septum, dilatation of the right heart. 

 

To eliminate this congenital heart defect, the guy needs endovascular correction of the defect with a heart implant - a Figulla Flex II ASD occluder with a delivery system and a measuring balloon, the cost of which is about $3,000: 98 000 UAH. 

 

The boy's family consists of his mother, Tetiana Anatoliivna Ushaniova, and his older brother, Oleksandr. The family lives in the village of Trebukhiv, Brovary district, Kyiv region. Mykhailo's mother is an individual entrepreneur, works in a store and raises two minor children on her own. Mykhailo's mother's main wish is that he be healthy. Mykhailo is a cheerful and very lively boy, interested in everything in the world and together with his brother he helps his mother with everything. Tatyana's income is barely enough to live on, so she is unable to buy an expensive heart implant - a Figulla Flex II ASD occluder with delivery system and a measuring balloon - for her son's congenital heart disease on her own. 

The Foundation was asked by the boy's mother to help raise funds to purchase a heart implant for six-year-old Mykhailo.
