On April 25, 2017, a little girl from Kyiv, Kot Vladyslava, who is not yet four years old, was hospitalized in the children's department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Vladislava has a congenital heart defect - a secondary defect of the atrial septum. The girl urgently needed endovascular closure of the defect with a Figulla Flex II ASD occluder with a delivery system and a measuring balloon, which cost UAH 95,000.
Vladyslava's mother, Iryna Kot, who is raising a young daughter with her husband, Yuriy, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive consumables. We started the project «Let's help save little Vladislava's heart!». The Foundation posted information about the girl and all the necessary supporting documents on its website and Facebook page. The International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos responded to help Vladyslava's heart and purchased the necessary occluder to eliminate the defect, a Figulla Flex II ASD with a delivery system and a measuring balloon. We sincerely thank them from the bottom of our hearts!
On April 26, 2017, at the State Institution «Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine», Kot Vladislava underwent X-ray endovascular closure of the secondary atrial septal defect. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on April 28, the girl was discharged home in a satisfactory condition.
