Vodafone - is one of the world's largest telecommunications companies providing a wide range of services, including mobile voice, data, messaging, fixed-line internet and cable TV. The operator operates in 26 countries, has partnership agreements with operators in 57 countries and provides fixed broadband Internet access in 17 markets. As of September 30, 2015, Vodafone provided services to 454 million mobile subscribers and 12.5 million fixed-line Internet users.
The company is active in the field of corporate social responsibility and implements a number of social projects in the fields of medicine, education, culture, ecology, and tourism. The most famous charitable and social projects «Vodafone Ukraine»:
- the Good Deed as a Gift charity project aimed at helping children with congenital heart disease, and the Life Line blood donation support program;
- Telemedicine project aimed at introducing modern telecommunication technologies into the Ukrainian healthcare system;
- All-Ukrainian competition of research papers among students of telecommunications specialties «Professionals of the Future»;
- Cultural and educational project “Mobile Library”;
- Vodafone Smart Routes, a project to develop the tourist infrastructure of Ukrainian cities;
- the national program «Throw it away correctly!», which envisages the creation of the first integrated system for the collection, storage and disposal of used batteries and accumulators in Ukraine.
