On February 08, 2018, a little princess from the town of Vyshneve, Kyiv-Sviatoshynskyi district, Uliana Vertugina, born on September 06, 2014, was consulted at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. After the examination, the girl was diagnosed with congenital heart disease - patent ductus arteriosus, moderate dilatation of the left ventricular cavity, secondary cardiomyopathy. Ulyana needs endovascular closure of the defect with the Nit-Occlud PDA kit, which costs UAH 72,760.
For the Vertugin family, where only the father works, this is a very large sum. The mother, Natalia Valeriivna, takes care of her daughter, who is often ill and is not working at the moment. The father, Artem Viacheslavovych, works in Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, at TDS Ukrspetstechnika LLC. The family's financial capabilities do not allow them to purchase such an expensive consumable on their own to save their daughter's heart.
