The project has been completed. The heart implant was purchased by the International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
On May 4, 2018, a thirteen-year-old boy from the city of Dnipro, Surzhykov Tymofiy, born on June 23, 2005, was consulted at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The boy was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct. To eliminate this congenital heart defect, Tymofiy needs endovascular closure of the patent ductus arteriosus with a cardiac implant - the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral system, the cost of which is 68 480 UAH.
The boy's family consists of his mother, Arina Zolotukhina, and his father is deprived of parental rights. The family lives in the city of Dnipro. The boy's mother works as an accountant at Energia LLC and is raising her son alone. Her main wish is for her only son to be healthy. Tymofii is a smart and knowledgeable boy, very interested in computer development and programming, he is engaged in computer animation and video editing, writes articles for the school newspaper. Arina Mykhailivna's salary is barely enough to live on, so she is unable to purchase an expensive heart implant - the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral system - to treat her son's congenital heart defect.
The Foundation was asked by the boy's mother to help raise funds to save the heart of thirteen-year-old Timothy. Here is her appeal.
