Little Sofia needs to save her heart!

On April 04, 2018, a little girl from Lutsk, Volyn region, Zhyvko Sofia, was consulted at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The child is not yet 4 years old. The specialists of the Heart Institute diagnosed Sofia with congenital heart disease - an open arterial duct. The girl needs endovascular closure of the defect with the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral set, which costs 68 480 UAH.

 

Galina Romanovna Zhivko, Sofia's mother, turned to the Foundation for support. She asked for help in raising funds to purchase a heart implant to save her daughter's heart.

Sofia lives with her parents and older sister Yelyzaveta in the city of Lutsk, Volyn region. The girl's mother, Galina Romanovna, is on maternity leave, and the whole family is expecting their third child. The father, Taras Mikhailovich, is the main breadwinner in the family. As Sophia's mother wrote in her appeal, she is working as hard as she can to feed and support her soon-to-be large family. The family's financial capabilities do not allow them to save for a heart implant for their daughter. Sofia is a very cheerful and cheerful girl, she loves to dance, play with her older sister and help her mother with the housework. The parents are very worried about their little girl's heart and ask for help, because they are not able to raise such a large amount of money on their own.
