On December 22, 2023, a girl from the village of Dragomyrchany, Ivano-Frankivsk district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Lidia Valiushko, born on January 13, 2015, was consulted at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The Institute's specialists diagnosed the girl with a congenital heart defect - perimembranous ventricular septal defect.
To eliminate this congenital heart defect, the girl needs endovascular surgery with the installation of a cardiac implant-occluder for the ventricular septal defect with a Stiir Ease introducer, which costs 148,730 UAH.
Lydia's family consists of her mother, Oksana Myronivna Valiushko, her father, Volodymyr Volodymyrovych Valiushko, and her younger sister, five-year-old Daryna. The family lives in the village of Dragomyrchany, Ivano-Frankivsk district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, in a small private house and is expecting their third child. .
The mother works as an administrative accountant at Troya-IF LLC, and the father is looking for a permanent job, and is currently working part-time whenever he can. The family's current financial capabilities do not allow them to purchase an expensive heart implant - an occluder for ventricular septal defect with Stiir Ease introducer - to treat their eldest daughter's congenital heart defect. Lidochka is a very nice and active girl, she loves to sing, go to school, make crafts, sculpt and play with little Darinka. Sometimes the girl's heartbeat speeds up and her health deteriorates, and she is not allowed to exercise, although Lidochka dreams of dancing and playing actively like other children.
The main wish of the parents is that their dear daughter is healthy.
Lydia's mother asked the Foundation to help raise funds to save her eldest daughter's heart. Here is her appeal.
