The project has been completed. The heart implant was purchased thanks to the International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and caring people.
On March 27, 2019, the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine consulted a girl from Kupyansk, Kharkiv Oblast. Ksenia Maksimova, born on December 04, 2011. Specialists of the Heart Institute diagnosed Ksenia with a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct. The girl needs endovascular closure of the defect with the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral kit, which cost 64 200 UAH.
Ksenia's father, Denis Yurievich Maksimov, applied to the Foundation for support. He asked for help in raising funds to purchase a heart implant to save his daughter's heart.
Ksenia lives with her parents and younger sister Veronika in the city of Kupiansk, Kharkiv region. The girl's mother, Yulia Mykolayivna, is temporarily unemployed and takes care of her daughters and the household, while her father, Denis Yuriyovych, works temporary jobs. The family's financial capabilities do not allow them to purchase a heart implant for their daughter on their own. Ksenia is a cheerful, friendly and active girl, she loves sports, reading books, board games, playing with her younger sister and going out with her friends. The parents are very worried about Ksenia's heart and ask for help, because they are unable to raise such a large amount of money on their own.
