The project has been completed. The heart implant was purchased thanks to charitable donations from caring people.
On May 30, 2019, Pavlo Pishl, a boy from Mykolaiv, born on January 05, 2015, was consulted at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The Institute's specialists diagnosed Pavlo with a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct. To eliminate this congenital heart defect, the boy needs endovascular closure of the patent ductus arteriosus with the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral system, which costs UAH 64 200.
Pavlo's family consists of his mother, Iryna Mykolaivna Pishl, who is raising two sons on her own: four-year-old Pavlo and seventeen-year-old Mykola. The boys' father, Oleksandr Pishl, died in March 2016.
Nowadays, the mother and her two sons live together in Mykolaiv in their father's apartment. The eldest son is finishing school and dreams of entering Mykolaiv Maritime School. Iryna Mykolaivna is not currently working because Pavlo is often ill and cannot attend kindergarten. The family's financial resources consist of state survivor's benefits, so they cannot afford to purchase an expensive heart implant, the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral system, to treat their younger son's congenital heart defect.
Little Pavlo is a very active, intelligent and lively boy, and his mother dreams of her dear boy being healthy.
The Foundation was approached by the boy's mother with a request to help raise funds to save Pishl Pavlo's heart.
