On January 21, 2022, a girl from the village of Pasynky, Zhmerynka district, Vinnytsia region, Demchuk Anna, born on September 03, 2011, was examined at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The Institute's specialists diagnosed the child with congenital heart disease - a secondary defect of the atrial septum. Dilatation of the right heart. To eliminate this congenital heart defect, Anna needs endovascular closure of the atrial septal defect with the Figulla Flex II ASD occluder with delivery system and measuring balloon, which costs UAH 114,000.
The girl's family consists of her grandmother, her guardian, Liudmyla Zabolotna, and her older brother, fifteen-year-old Oleksii, who is currently in a boarding school. Anna's parents died, her mother in 2017 and her father in August 2021.
According to the decision of the Executive Committee of the Shargorod City Council of Vinnytsia Oblast of September 28, 2021, Zabolotna Liudmyla Stanislavivna was appointed guardian of a young orphan, Anna Demchuk. The girl lives with her retired grandmother in a small house in the village of Pasynky, Zhmerynka district, Vinnytsia region. The family's financial resources are almost scarce and consist of state aid for children under guardianship and her grandmother's pension. It is quite clear that there is no way to buy an expensive heart implant - a Figulla Flex II ASD occluder with a delivery system and a measuring balloon - on their own to save Anna's heart.
Her grandmother, a guardian, asked the Foundation to help raise funds to purchase a heart implant for eleven-year-old Anna. Lyudmila Stanislavovna loves her granddaughter very much and is worried about her health. Anna is a very small and thin girl, with minimal exertion she starts to choke and eats poorly.
We want to save Anna's heart as soon as possible, so we ask all caring and generous people to support our Project, help raise money for a heart implant, and save the heart of a little orphan girl!
