On May 23, 2017, a little boy from the village of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, Kyiv-Svyatoshyn district, Mayboroda Mark, was examined at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The boy is a little over 1.5 years old. Mark was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct. He really needs endovascular closure of the defect with the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral set, which costs 60 562 UAH.
Mark's mother, Ruslana Petrovna Mayboroda, who is raising her son alone, asked the Foundation to help raise funds to purchase expensive consumables to save her little Mark's heart. The boy's father does not live with the family and does not take part in his son's upbringing. Ruslana Petrovna is on maternity leave to care for her young son, and almost the entire family budget consists of state child benefits. The family does not receive any support from her ex-husband, so there is no way to raise money for Mark's heart implant on their own. Ruslana Petrovna is looking forward to her little boy's heart becoming healthy.
