The project has been completed. The heart implant was purchased thanks to charitable donations from Vodafone Ukraine.
On May 22, 2019, a little boy from the village of Tyvriv, Tyvriv district, Vinnytsia region, was consulted at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Oleksandr Oliynyk, born on September 12, 2017. The Institute's specialists diagnosed the boy with a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct and left ventricular dilatation. To eliminate this congenital heart defect, Sashko needs endovascular closure of the patent ductus arteriosus with a cardiac implant - the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral system, the cost of which is 64 200 UAH.
The boy's family consists of his mother, Kateryna Viktorivna Oliynyk, who is raising her son alone. The family lives in a two-room apartment together with his parents in a regular five-story house in the village of Tyvriv, Tyvriv district, Vinnytsia region. The mother is currently on maternity leave to care for little Oleksandr and receives state child benefit. The family's financial resources are very limited, so they are unable to purchase an expensive heart implant - the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral system - to treat their little son's congenital heart defect.
The Foundation was asked to help raise funds to save Oleksandr's heart by the boy's mother, who is very concerned about her little son's health.
