Anton Chumakin

On March 20, 2019, a little boy from the village of Kyselivka, Bilozerka district, Kherson region, Anton Chumakin, born on June 16, 2014, was hospitalized at the Pediatric Department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The boy was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect - perimembranous defect of the interventricular septum and an additional left superior vena cava.

Anton needs endovascular correction of the defect with a cardiac implant - the Nit Occlud Le VSD occluder, the cost of which is 113 741 UAH.
The Foundation was approached by the boy's mother, Oksana Oleksiyivna Chumakina, with a request to help purchase expensive consumables. The Foundation launched the project «Lend a helping hand to little Anton from a large family!». We posted information about Anton and all the necessary supporting documents on our website and Facebook page.

To save the boy's heart, the Foundation turned to its friend and partner Ireneusz Derek, CEO of Plastics-Ukraine LLC« and his friends. Instead of gifts for the twentieth anniversary of Plastics-Ukraine, Ireneusz suggested that his friends and partners raise funds to purchase a heart implant - the Nit Occlud Le VSD occluder - to treat Anton's congenital heart disease and save his little heart. The proposal was supported and the necessary expensive consumable was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute.
On March 21, 2019, Anton Chumakin underwent X-ray endovascular correction of the perimembranous defect of the interventricular septum at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on March 24, the boy was discharged home in satisfactory condition.

We, along with Anton, his mother and older brothers, are sincerely grateful to Ireneusz Derek, CEO of Plastics-Ukraine LLC, his friends and partners for another child's heart saved.
Anton, we wish you happiness, health, peaceful skies and fulfillment of your dreams!
Good luck!
