On September 14, 2017, the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine consulted an eleven-year-old girl from the village of Pavlivka, Chernihiv district, Chernihiv region, Glukhova Yulia, who has a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct. Yulia needs endovascular closure of the defect with the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral kit, which costs UAH 60,562.
Yulia's mother, Svetlana Glukhova, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive consumables. We started the project «Saving Yulia's heart depends on you!». The Foundation has posted information about the girl and all the necessary supporting documents on its website and Facebook page. Our constant friend and partner offered his help in saving Yulia's congenital heart disease Vodafone Ukraine. Thanks to their support, the necessary heart implant was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute.
And on the last day of January, at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Yulia Glukhova underwent X-ray endovascular closure of the patent ductus arteriosus. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on February 3, the girl was discharged home in a satisfactory condition and good mood.
We, together with the Glukhov family, all their relatives and friends, are sincerely grateful to Vodafone Ukraine, which provided the purchase of the necessary heart implant to save the girl's heart.
