Koptsova Veronika

On June 19, 2018, a little girl from Zhytomyr, Veronika Koptsova, who turned 1 year and 5 months old on June 2, was hospitalized at the Children's Department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The girl has a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct. Veronika needs endovascular correction of the defect with the Nit-Occlud PDA occluder, which costs 68 480 UAH.

Rita Koptsova, the girl's mother, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive medical supplies for her only daughter. The Foundation started project «Save the heart of little Veronika». We have posted information about the girl and all the necessary supporting documents on our website and Facebook page.

Rita Mykolayivna's colleagues from the Zhytomyr Customs and our friend and partner, the International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, responded to help the little girl's heart. Thanks to their joint efforts, the necessary heart implant was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute. Our heartfelt gratitude to them!

On June 20, 2018, at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, little Veronika Koptsova underwent X-ray endovascular closure of the patent ductus arteriosus. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on June 22, the girl was discharged home in a satisfactory condition.
We, along with little Veronika and her parents, are grateful to the caring employees of the Zhytomyr Customs and the International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, who provided the necessary consumables to eliminate the girl's congenital heart defect.

We wish the kids and their families good health, all the best and a peaceful sky.
