On January 21, 2019, a three-year-old boy from the city of Sarny, Sarny district, Rivne region, Nazarets Maksym, was hospitalized at the Children's Department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, he has a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct. The boy needs endovascular closure of the defect with the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral kit.
Maksym's mother, Yulia Nazarets, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive consumables. We started project «Little Maximka is waiting for your help!». The Foundation posted information about the boy and all the necessary supporting documents on its website and Facebook page. Our project was supported by our partners - the advertising agency Firma. ART LLC and Metro Media Print LLC, by posting information about raising funds for a heart implant for Nazarets Maxim in the Kyiv subway cars.
With a request to provide a charitable donation for the purchase of a Nit-Occlud PDA for Maksym, the Foundation turned to its reliable partners, Vodafone Ukraine, and received support. The necessary heart implant was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute.
On January 22, 2019, at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Maksym Nazarets underwent X-ray endovascular closure of the patent ductus arteriosus. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on January 24, the boy was discharged home in satisfactory condition.
We, together with Maksym, his parents, and all his family and friends, are sincerely grateful to Vodafone Ukraine, which provided the necessary heart implant to save the boy's heart.
Maximka, grow up healthy and happy, may all your dreams come true! All the best to you!
