On September 09, 2021, a nine-year-old boy from the village of Hrynenky, Tulchyn district, Vinnytsia region, was hospitalized at the children's department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Ruslan Pashchenko, specialists of the Heart Institute diagnosed him with congenital heart disease - a secondary defect of the atrial septum.
Volodymyr needs endovascular closure of the atrial septal defect with the Figulla Flex II ASD occluder with delivery system and measuring balloon, which cost UAH 114,000.
Galina Dmytrenko, the boy's mother, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive consumables. The Foundation has launched a project «Ruslan's heart really needs your help». With a request to provide a charitable donation for the purchase of a Figulla Flex II ASD occluder with a delivery system and a measuring balloon for Ruslan, the Foundation turned to its regular and reliable partners - the of Vodafone Ukraine and received support. The necessary heart implant was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute.
On September 13, 2021, at the State Institution «Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine», Ruslan Pashchenko underwent endovascular closure of the atrial septal defect with a cardiac implant - an occluder, and on July 12, the boy was discharged home in good spirits and in satisfactory condition.
We, along with Ruslan, his parents, and all his family and friends, are sincerely grateful to of Vodafone Ukraine, which provided the purchase of the necessary heart implant to save the boy's heart.
