Polischuk Victoria

July 29, 2019 year, an eleven-year-old girl from Lutsk, Volyn region, was hospitalized at the children's department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Victoria Polishchuk. She has a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct and mild aortic insufficiency. Victoria needs endovascular closure of the defect with the Nit-Occlud PDA helical set.

Svetlana Volodymyrivna Polishchuk, the girl's mother, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive consumables for her only daughter. The Foundation started project «Give a helping hand to Victoria's heart!». On its website https://heart-in-hand.in.ua/programs/prostyagnit-ruku-dopomogi-serdechku-viktorii/ and Facebook page, we posted information about the girl and all the necessary supporting documents.

Our friend and partner responded to save the little girl's heart ICF «International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin». Thanks to him, the necessary heart implant was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute. Our heartfelt gratitude to them!

On July 30, 2019, at the State Institution «Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine», Victoria Polishchuk underwent X-ray endovascular closure of the patent ductus arteriosus. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on August 1, the girl was discharged home in a satisfactory condition.

We, along with Victoria and her parents, are grateful to the International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, which provided the necessary consumables to eliminate the girl's congenital heart defect.
