On January 21, 2019, a seven-year-old girl from the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast, was hospitalized at the Children's Department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Hold Anastasia, She has a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct. The girl needs endovascular closure of the defect with the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral kit.
Anastasia's mother, Yulia Oleksandrivna Poderzhay, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive consumables. We started the project «Anastasia's heart is waiting for your help!». The Foundation posted information about the girl and all the necessary supporting documents on its website and Facebook page.
With a request to provide a charitable donation for the purchase of a spiral Nit-Occlud PDA kit for Anastasia, the Foundation turned to its partners - the research agency ASNILSEN-UKRAINE LLC, which provided a donation for the purchase of a heart implant. We sincerely thank them from the bottom of our hearts!
On January 22, 2019, the State Institution «Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine» performed X-ray endovascular closure of the patent ductus arteriosus for Anastasia Poderzhay. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on January 25, the girl was discharged home in a satisfactory condition.
