On April 15, 2019, an almost seven-year-old girl from Vinnytsia was hospitalized in the children's department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Revutska Karina. The girl has a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct.
Karina needs endovascular closure of the defect with the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral kit.
Yulia Revutska, the girl's mother, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive medical supplies for her daughter. The Foundation started «Lend a helping hand to cheerful Karina!» project. We posted information about the girl and all the necessary supporting documents on our website and Facebook page.
Our friend and partner immediately responded to help the little girl's heart ICF «International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin». Thanks to him, the necessary heart implant was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute. We are very grateful to them!
On April 17, 2019, at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, endovascular correction of congenital heart disease - X-ray endovascular closure of the patent ductus arteriosus - was performed for Karina Revutska. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on April 19, the girl was discharged home in a satisfactory condition and with a bright smile.
We, along with Karina, her parents and older brother Artem, are sincerely grateful to the International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, which provided the necessary consumables to eliminate the girl's congenital heart defect.
