On February 03, 2025, a seventeen-year-old girl from Kyiv, Nadiia Rudenko, was hospitalized in the children's department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The girl from a single-parent family has a congenital heart defect - a secondary atrial septal defect and dilatation of the right heart.
To eliminate this congenital heart defect, Nadiia needs endovascular closure of the atrial septal defect with the Xeapt P XJFS2525 occluder with the Stiirease SFA 10F introducer, the cost of the set is UAH 165,796.50.
The girl's mother, Tatyana Valerievna Rudenko, who serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a material service officer, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive consumables. The girl's father has not been living with the family for fifteen years and does not take part in Nadiya's upbringing and support.
Thanks to our joint initiative in honor of the Children's Day, between Sadochok TM, the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and our Heart on the Palm Charitable Foundation, we were able to quickly purchase the necessary expensive heart implant (Xeapt P XJFS2525 occluder with Stiirease SFA 10F introducer) and transfer it to the Heart Institute pharmacy to save Nadia's heart.
And on February 3, at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Nadiia Rudenok underwent X-ray endovascular closure of the secondary atrial septal defect. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on February 5, the girl was discharged home in a satisfactory condition and good mood.
