On September 18, 2018, a girl from the village of Pustoviyty, Khmilnyk district, Vinnytsia region, was hospitalized at the children's department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Khrystyna Rudnytska, born on August 11, 2009. The girl was diagnosed with congenital heart disease - a secondary defect of the atrial septum and moderate dilatation of the right heart.
To eliminate this congenital heart defect, the girl needs endovascular correction of the defect with a heart implant - a Figulla Flex II ASD occluder with a delivery system and a measuring balloon, the cost of which is as follows: 102 000 UAH.
The girl's mother, Victoria Rudnitskaya, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive consumables. The Foundation started project «Save Christina's heart!». We have posted information about the girl and all the necessary supporting documents on our website and Facebook page.
Our friend and partner, as always, came to the rescue of Khrystyna's heart ICF «International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin», who purchased the necessary heart implant and sent it to the Heart Institute. Our heartfelt and sincere gratitude to them!
On September 19, 2018, at the State Institution «Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine», X-ray endovascular closure of the secondary atrial septal defect was performed for Khrystyna Rudnytska.
The postoperative period was uneventful, and on September 21, the girl was discharged home in a satisfactory condition. On her way home, Khrystyna and her mother presented the Foundation with a beautiful beaded painting. Thank you for the gift!
