On September 16, 2019, a little girl from the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region, was hospitalized at the children's department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Salimovskaya Veronika, who was born on March 11, 2016. The girl has a congenital heart defect - a secondary atrial septal defect and dilatation of the right heart. Veronika needs endovascular correction of the defect with a Figulla Flex II ASD occluder with a delivery system and a measuring balloon, which costs UAH 105,000.
Yulia Salimovskaya, the girl's mother, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive consumables. The Foundation started project «Give a helping hand to Veronika from a large family!». Thanks to caring people and our good friend and partner ICF «International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin», The necessary heart implant was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute. We are sincerely grateful to everyone!
And on September 17, at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Veronika Salimovska underwent X-ray endovascular closure of the secondary atrial septal defect. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on September 23, the girl was discharged home in a satisfactory condition and good mood.
