On July 30, 2019, a three-year-old girl from Kyiv was hospitalized in the children's department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Savchenko Eva, She has a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct. The girl needs endovascular closure of the defect with the Nit-Occlud PDA spiral kit.
Eva's mother, Tatyana Savchenko, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive consumables. We started project «Eva's little heart is waiting for your help!». The Foundation on its website https://heart-in-hand.in.ua/programs/serdechko-malechi-evi-duzhe-chekae-na-vashu-dopomogi/ and Facebook page posted information about the girl and all the necessary supporting documents.
Thanks to caring people and our good friend and partner ICF «International Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin», The necessary heart implant was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute. We are sincerely grateful to everyone!
On July 31, 2019, at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, little Savchenko Evka underwent X-ray endovascular closure of the patent ductus arteriosus. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on August 2, the girl was discharged home in a satisfactory condition and good mood.
