Maxim Shilo

On August 29, 2019, a boy from the city of Rivne was hospitalized to the children's department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Maxim Shilo, Maksym was born on April 17, 2005. Maksym has a congenital heart defect - perimembranous ventricular septal defect.

The guy needs endovascular correction of the defect with a cardiac implant - an occluder to close the perimembranous defect of the interventricular septum Nit Occlud Le VSD, the cost of which is UAH 108,605.
Maksym's mother, Inna Mykolayivna, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive consumables. We started project «Maxim's heart really needs your help!», and posted it on the Foundation's website, https://heart-in-hand.in.ua/programs/serdechku-maksima-duzhe-potribna-vasha-dopomoga/  and Facebook page, as well as all necessary supporting documents.

With a request to provide a charitable donation for the purchase of an occluder to close the perimembranous ventricular septal defect Nit Occlud Le VSD, the Foundation turned to its reliable partners of Vodafone Ukraine and received support. The necessary heart implant was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute. Thank you!

On August 30, 2019, at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Maxim Shilo underwent X-ray endovascular closure of the perimembranous defect of the interventricular septum. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on September 2, the guy was discharged home in a satisfactory condition. How happy his parents were!

We, together with Maksym, his parents, and all his family and friends, are sincerely grateful to Vodafone Ukraine, which provided the necessary heart implant to save the boy's heart.
We, for our part, wish Maksym happiness, health, success in his studies and a peaceful sky. We wish him all the best!
