On May 20, 2024, a nine-year-old girl from the village of Dragomyrchany, Ivano-Frankivsk district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Lidia Valiushko, born on January 13, 2015, was hospitalized at the Children's Department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Lidia has a congenital heart defect - a perimembranous defect of the interventricular septum. The girl needs endovascular closure of the heart defect by installing a cardiac implant-occluder for the ventricular septal defect with a Stiir Ease introducer.
Lydia's mother, Oksana Myronivna Valyushko, asked the Foundation to help her purchase expensive consumables.
We launched the project «Lend a helping hand to Lydia's little heart!».
The Foundation on its website https://heart-in-hand.in.ua/programs/prostiahnit-ruku-dopomohy-malenkomu-serdechku-lidii/ and Facebook page posted information about the girl and all the necessary supporting documents.
With a request to provide a charitable donation for the purchase of an occluder for the interventricular septal defect with a Stiir Ease introducer for the dreamer Lidochka, the Foundation turned to its reliable partners - Vodafone Ukraine and received support. The necessary heart implant was purchased and transferred to the Heart Institute.
On May 21, 2024, at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Lidia Valiushko underwent X-ray endovascular closure of the perimembranous defect of the interventricular septum. The postoperative period was uneventful, and on May 24, the girl was discharged home in a satisfactory condition.
We, together with Lidochka, her parents and younger children, all our relatives and friends, are sincerely grateful to Vodafone Ukraine, which provided the purchase of the necessary heart implant to save the girl's heart.
Lidochka wrote and left words of gratitude with her own handwriting.
For our part, we wish you to grow up healthy and happy, and may all your dreams come true! Peaceful sky and all the best!
